A gift
Delight
Elation
Exhilaration
A little word
Keen pleasure
A deep abiding
Sheer gladness
Gladness in God
An inner feeling
Not simply a feeling
A fruit of the Spirit
Part of God's kingdom
Profound and Biblical
A permanent possession
What God wants for us
The reverse of happiness
A choice purposefully made
A confident abiding in Jesus
Why Jesus could go to the cross
An outpouring of the Holy Spirit
A deep-rooted, inspired happiness
Something to be shared with others
An attitude of the heart and spirit
A feeling of great pleasure and happiness
A choice, but something that comes from God
Knowing that all of our life derives from God
A state of mind and an orientation of the heart
Happiness over an unanticipated or present good
A deliberate and intentional practice and behavior
A settled state of contentment, confidence and hope
An unshakable awareness that we possess good from God
A byproduct of the Holy Spirit living and abiding in us
Something we don’t have to produce or drum up on our own
An underlying truth that good or bad circumstances can’t dictate
The result of a great success or a beautiful or wonderful experience
A limitless, life-defining, transformative reservoir waiting to be tapped into
Great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying
The reason why so many have gone to a martyr’s death still confident and assured
An emotion acquired by the anticipation, acquisition or expectation of something great or wonderful
The emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what we desire
The future expectation that everything is going to be okay as we draw life from God - no matter our circumstances
Knowing that our loving Heavenly Father is doing something specific in our lives and that He is doing what is best for us
A good feeling in the soul, produced by the Holy Spirit, as he causes us to see the beauty of Christ in the word and in the world
A feeling of good pleasure and happiness that is dependent on who Jesus is rather than on who we are or what is happening around us
Choosing to respond to external circumstances with inner contentment and satisfaction, because we know that God will use these experiences to accomplish His work in and through our lives
The settled assurance that God is in control of all the details of life, the quiet confidence that ultimately everything is going to be alright, and the determined choice to praise God in every situation
